Selected References

Eight out of twenty-seven similar references do not include dozens of awards, honors, and certificates for a variety of accomplishments during sixty years, details of which can be accessed from the CV menus at the top of web site pages. The author has selected these particular references because they relate to specific derogation by Dear that he used for his time-warp stratagem. Significantly, Dear decided to start a smear campaign against the author, but has still not released a copy of his own curriculum vitae for evaluation and validation.

Readers should compare Dear’s derogation with implications in the original smear campaign that he copied. They will see that Dear used an identical dysfunctional pattern to his alter egos, Mitchell and Jacques. Sociopaths act in identical ways to destroy people who hold professional and academic accomplishments that they can never attain themselves. Their principal achievement usually relates to the destruction of the careers of others to satisfy their psychological dysfunction and pathological lying to cover up their own deficiencies. I have known Paul Trummel since 1977, and have experience of working with him on Museum publications, and participating with him as a faculty member of a publications seminar. Mr. Trummel has an extensive and particularly up-to-date knowledge of printing in all its forms, and the capacity to control and communicate quality factors in customer-company relations.

Trummel demonstrates an ability to absorb the detail requirements of the most complicated publication, and to provide responsive technical steerage to achieving a satisfactory result to those requirements. In the field of computer/photo setting he is additionally informed, and represents an almost unique combination of typographic discipline with advanced technical knowledge.

I have no hesitation in recommending Paul Trummel as a skilled and enthusiastic executive in the printing industry.

I am writing in support of Mr. Paul Trummel's candidacy for the position of Professor of Graphic Arts for Fitchburg State College.

I have known and worked with Mr. Trummel over the last four years in many areas of publishing and public relations. While he was Director of The Point Press at the University, we worked closely as colleagues on many projects, from publishing University related materials to coordinating graphic arts and signage for a national conference at the Sheraton-Boston Hotel Without exception, I have found Mr. Trummel to be an extremely creative professional, able to produce high quality finished products while keeping within tight deadlines and limited budgets.

As a teacher, Mr. Trummel sets high standards for his students. He works them hard, concentrating or developing skills which will prepare them for careers in graphic arts and publishing. He is very structured, and enforces policy and procedures which assist his students in not only understanding the trade, but also in performing well under extreme deadlines and less than optimum conditions. His students respect him as a teacher and as an artist. He sets an example of high standards; he has very disciplined work habits and shows meticulous attention to detail.

His philosophy of teaching is based on a conjunction between the scholarly and the practical. He teaches his subject from an historical aspect, providing a firm foundation upon which to build and apply computerized state-of-the-art technology. He encourages students to try new ideas, control their work, and complete tasks which will properly prepare them for their post-graduate pursuits.

Comprehensive research into art history, heraldry, and graphic symbolism provide the basis for his designs. He seeks out the subject at source. His use of classical proportion and evocative symbols gives his work polish and meaning.

Paul Trummel possesses excellent administrative skills. He has broad management experience in a variety of environments and contexts: corporate, academic, and cultural He pays careful attention to record keeping and administrative detail. He manages people well, knows how to delegate responsibility, and how to build and maintain an intellectual, growth-oriented atmosphere.

Mr. Trummel is a self-starter who understands the complexities of the academic setting, working effectively with senior administrators and faculty in developing University publications and public relations. He is an extremely creative professional, and I believe his talents and experience make him an excellent candidate for a managing and teaching position in graphic arts.

Yours sincerely,
Sherry Thomas

Paul Trummel

I have known Mr. Trummel for more than six years both on a personal basis, and professionally. In the world of printing the scope of his knowledge and experience is very rare indeed. With a particular emphasis on computerization, he has maintained contact and application awareness with the many developments in present-day printing techniques and is able to relate their applications within aesthetic disciplines.

Recently, I have had the opportunity of meeting with students of Paul Trummel and their quality has been impressive. If one aspect stood out it was the student's feeling that practical considerations had been transmitted in the process of theoretical, conceptual development of instruction.

As a businessman, Paul Trammel's grasp of the give-and-take of commercial and quality concerns is first class. In this area too, his experience is extensive.

I have no hesitation in recommending Paul Trummel to the College.

It is indeed a pleasure to recommend Professor Paul Trummel who taught an introductory Graphic Arts course in our Division of Continuing Education for three semesters.

Professor Trummel donated a great deal of time developing the course for us and willingly contributed many hours to students both before and after class. He made use of large amounts of personal material which he shared with his class nightly.

Paul Trummel is an extremely cooperative employee as well as a conscientious and demanding teacher.

I am happy to recommend him to you wholeheartedly.

I learned with pleasure that you are considering Paul Trummel for an important post at Fitchburg.

When Paul described the position you have envisioned, it was clear that it mirrors the duties that I carry out here at Yale; so my recommendations, in this case, are perhaps more informed than the usual reference. I first came to know Paul when he took charge of the typesetting for the catalogue of the Cary Playing Card Collection which I designed and produced for the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library here at Yale. The experience made me aware of Paul's exceptional sensitivity to the niceties of good composition. He has the advantage, of course, of a British education; but his single-minded devotion to the work, his clear delight in the technology, his broad understanding of it and joy in imparting it - all of this became apparent as we worked together.

Speaking from my own experience, let me applaud you for deciding to bring together the responsibility for graphic production and the conception of design standards for the college with an academic post. These three areas feed and enhance each other; that has been my experience here, and I am sure it will be Paul's.

He would be a true ornament to your academic community, eliciting enthusiasm from young minds, making wise technical decisions, and elevating the appearance of materials emanating from Fitchburg State.

Sincerely,

I am writing in support of Mr. Paul Trowel's application for a Graphic Arts position at Fitchburg State College.

It has been a pleasure for me to have been associated with Paul as an adjunct faculty member in our Graphic Arts program within the Center for Continuing Education for the past three years. Paul is an enthusiastic professional with excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. He has been very innovative in developing and implementing a sequential program in Typography and Design: printing Craft Techniques. The intensive course for aspiring professionals in advertising, public relations, printing and publishing has been very well received by adult students from the industry.

In all of his activities Paul has displayed the ability to develop long range plans, anticipate potential problems in executing those plans and securing the necessary resources to carry out the plans effectively.

Paul would, in my view, be an excellent person for such a position at Fitchburg State College. His previously noted qualities and skills along with his teaching and publishing experience establishes him as an excellent candidate I would support without reservation.

Sincerely,

I have known Paul Trummel for the past six years. The following comments are a result of this professional association.

Paul is truly an artist in his work. His typographical and design work is inspired and second to none. He is a workaholic. He is expert in a number of related fields. Above all he is a man of tremendous taste and talent with a drive to accomplish.

The very best typographical and design work that this college has ever had has been done by Paul Trummel. This letterhead is not one of his designs.

I am certain that San Jose State University will be very well served by a man with these varied talents and will to achieve.

Sincerely,
