The author and publisher has restricted access to this series of articles to National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) members (also named parties) pending investigation of alleged criminal activity and legal action under: Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992; Solicitors' Code of Conduct 2007; Solicitors Act 1974; Administration of Justice Act 1985; Courts and Legal Services Act 1990; Fraud Act 2006; Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006; Vienna Convention on Consular Relations; and, Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This proviso in no way restricts NUJ and IFJ members from releasing excerpts (with accreditation) to interested third parties including news media. Independent investigation by law enforcement agencies involves an alleged pattern or practice of joint and several illegal or criminal activities by: National Union of Journalists (NUJ) executives, lawyers, and staff; National Executive Council (NEC) officers; and, London Freelance Branch (LFB) officials. The author has little personal knowledge of other branches and chapels which do not form part of intended civil and criminal complaints; therefore, he has no opinion on their activities. NUJ Cabal acts in direct violation of NUJ Rules and Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992. An exclusive clique has clandestinely usurped power and performed illegal acts for political expedience and personal gain. Jeremy Dear, NUJ General Secretary and Roy M Mincoff (in-house solicitor) distort meaning to deny due process of law and obstruct justice using time-warp stratagems which move events from one time period to another.
Although oligarchy and anarchy do not normally share the same political space, Dear has managed to cultivate coexistence (a fertile ground for despotism) which portends another trade union disaster reminiscent of the 1980s. NUJ now consists of a strange political mix which has resulted in a system of leadership based upon fear, discrimination, and harassment that results from coercion, intimidation and propaganda. NUJ officials deny civil and human rights to members and staff despite international laws to the contrary; moreover, they have started a smear campaign against a member of long-standing. Felippe Jacques (Seattle) posed as a "philosopher", he neither wrote nor published anything rational to support his contentions. Reading a few books on philosophy does not make a person who cannot think a philosopher, neither do bigotry, violence, malice, perjury, and pathological lying define as philosophy.
To paraphrase Victor Hugo, the true division of humanity lies between those living in light and those living in darkness. A philosopher lives in the light and has the ability to critically inquire into events with an open mind. Jacques, by his own admission, lives in darkness and glories in misanthropy.
Jacques happily agrees with comparisons of him with Marquis de Sade. Like the psychopathic (sociopathic) de Sade, he propounds atheism, claims noble birth, takes violence to the limit, and received a Jesuit education in Paris. In a written "confession" about his deviant behavior, he variously supported anti-Semitism, neo-fascism, misogynism, homophobia, and violence: emotions that he displaces onto others through psychological transference. Devoid of morals or conscience he has no fear or respect for others and considers himself above the law.
A prolific “declaration scribe” and suborner, Jacques exulted over his new found prominence as a writer and plagiarist, then wrote hundreds of defamatory declarations for gullible seniors to swear into court records. Sources living at Council House, Seattle claimed that market-rent sycophants (“the haves” as opposed to the “have nots”) lined up over Hannukah and Christmas to sign declarations that he composed under duress (2000). Maureen L Mitchell copied those declarations onto law firm (Short Cressman Burgess - Seattle) stationary before filing them with the court.
Judge James A Doerty, a straw judge, knowingly accepted 63 suborned declarations into the court record after disallowing a discovery process. David C Broom, HM Consul Seattle colluded with Doerty in sending the author to solitary confinement and torture.
HM Foreign and Commonwealth Office have since admitted to destroying copies of declarations furnished to Broom by Doerty. The issues have become part of an international cover-up by Dear and Thomas now subject to quid pro quo: a conflict of interest that binds them together in mutual blackmail. Washington Supreme Court reversed Doerty’s trial court decisions and disallowed all the declarations by stipulation.
Maureen L Mitchell (WSBA #30356) will appear before Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) in the same way that NUJ solicitors Claire S Kirby (SRA #21078) and Roy M Mincoff (SRA #112029) will appear before Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to answer similar complaints.
A reasonable person must ask whether Dear read: the Washington Supreme Court decision; legal briefs by four journalism organizations and American Civil Liberties Union; nine hundred articles published across Europe; the FreePaulTrummel web site; the curriculum vitae and other pages accessed from the web menus; NUJ and IFJ amicus curiae arguments and legal briefs; all of which refuted the claims made in the Associated Press article that he quoted. Local media, inextricably bound to Seattle mafia, loved every minute of it. They had a field day derogating the NUJ member in a similar way to which Dear and his Cabal presently derogate him. They published the juiciest declarations without considering the source; however, they neglected to state that the declarations had not endured a discovery process.
Other reporters trusted informal statements by a diagnosed schizophrenic and two dysfunctional, probably psychotic, spokesmen when they turned up for court hearings in transport provided at public expense. Media reported ad hominem as news without using any fact-checking procedures. Several reporters put a sick tabloid spin on what Jacques told them but never once interviewed the author. Ironically, this sociopathic triumvirate then castigated the media in a web article for publishing the propaganda that they had themselves disseminated through blogs!
Three news outlets knew about duplicity and pathological lying by Stephen A Mitchell (the building administrator) and his three assistants, but continued to use him as a source despite libel warnings. Other publications echoed their “scoop” internationally.
Media naivete and laziness (also political expedience) in checking facts multiplied deliberate disinformation orchestrated by Jacques and Mitchell. It allowed propaganda to echo around the world which Dear has now used for his own disingenuous purposes. NUJ officials epitomize people in Seattle who have politicked their way into jobs without any inclination to function ethically. Apparently, they do not know what to do about the situation they have created except to resort to harassment of the member involved.
Dear, a person of similar disposition to Mitchell and Jacques, has launched a smear campaign in the UK using as his source an Associated Press article containing Jacques’s suborned declarations challenged seven years ago as libelous. He has resurrected obviously perjured statements written and disseminated by Jacques (2000) and published by Associated Press (18 Jun 02) all thrown out of court on stipulation by a unanimous decision of nine Washington Supreme Court judges (30 Mar 06): a hearing in which NUJ and IFJ took part as amicus curiae. Arguably, Dear and Mincoff have knowingly participated in illegal activity and a conflict of interest with HM Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Meanwhile, the author practices extreme caution to see that they do not have him whisked away to Belmarsh on trumped up charges in the way that Dear’s alter ego in Seattle whisked him away to jail, solitary confinement, and torture in Seattle. The author languished in jail for 111 days without trial or legal counsel while Dear and Claire S Kirby (Mincoff’s predecessor) did nothing as required by Vienna Convention and Human Rights laws. An attempted abduction occurred in London (2008) which some members found hilarious when told about it at a London Freelance Branch meeting. The Met have that incident under advisement. Dear should think twice before sending any more insolent and disingenuous email messages to long-standing NUJ members.
Dear, a person of obviously low intellect and education, demands academic and professional credential validation from members; however, he will not release a copy of his own curriculum vitae. He has obviously reached his level of incompetence when he uses his predisposition to destroy associates who have higher intellect, more experience, better education, and greater accomplishments than he can possibly achieve himself. His demeanor precludes him from rational communication at any executive level. [Academic Cabalism]
Perjury
It seems beyond comprehension that independently living seniors, including lawyers, and a senior judge’s new wife would knowingly sign or file 63 perjured declarations unequivocally against a journalist when he alleged criminal activity which resulted in abuse of hundreds of seniors and death of three of them. Washington state punishment for perjury, a class B felony, amounts to ten years in jail and/or a $20,000.00 fine for each count.
Six directors, four thugs and ten market-rent tenants later filed more perjury to cover up judicial misconduct by Judge James A Doerty. Twenty-one perjured declarations contained an unpublished draft as an exhibit which Lynn C Wartnik, wife of Judge Anthony P Wartnik (Doerty’s supervising judge) and Bradley K Spear, Council House officer and director now president, retroactively filed. One tenant, Jeanette Pruett, evidently forgot that she had already filed a declaration and committed more perjury fourteen days later which should get her an additional ten years in jail!
Council House lawyers filed 20 retroactive declarations, arguably to cover up for Doerty when he realized that jailing the member without counsel and later moving him arbitrarily to solitary confinement and torturing him without legal representation contravened Vienna Convention. Even the court clerk does not now use the word “honorable” in court documents when he refers to Doerty.
Washington Supreme Court threw out by stipulation 64 unsubstantiated, suborned declarations for which Judge James A Doerty refused a discovery process. Doerty distributed 43 of them to media in an orchestrated derogation campaign. He also sent them to US Homeland Security and HM Consul Seattle. Now seven years later, US immigration harasses the author every time that he enters the US as a result of those documents on his file.
This all sounds like the script from a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, however, it did not sound so humorous at the time especially when Dear and Kirby concurrently ignored an NUJ member languishing in jail for almost four months of an illegal, indeterminate sentence condoned by a HM British Consul. In fact, many people in Seattle thought the whole thing too bizarre to actually have happened until jail authorities “disappeared” him when they tried to visit him. [FreePaulTrummel]
Kafka predicted these experiences precisely in The Trial (1925). Orson Welles wrote and directed a movie adaptation of the novel in 1962 starring Anthony Perkins. In a BBC Interview with Huw Wheldon, Welles noted, “Say what you like, but The Trial is the best film I have ever made”. The author can honestly say that he does not feel elated by his stellar, real-life performance using the same script. [Kafka] [Dear Smear Campaign]
Conclusion
Dear has created a strange political mix which has resulted in a system of leadership based upon fear, discrimination, and harassment which results in coercion, intimidation and propaganda. He has allowed several officials to establish themselves in powerful positions in which they have denied civil and human rights to members despite international laws to the contrary. This has grown the usual crop of sycophants who weasel their way into lucrative assignments.
Dear (and his shadow Mincoff) have tried to distract NUJ members from knowing about alleged crimes. With his credential challenge, Dear ingratiated himself by trying to preempt a pending submission to Solicitors Regulation Authority. [Associated Press Libel]
Among others, it names as handling officials: Jeremy Dear, NUJ General Secretary; John Toner, National Freelance Organiser; Thomas P Jones, Partner, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Thompsons Solicitors; and, Reginald (Tim) Gopsill, Editor, The Journalist. They must finally account for seven years of machination and harassment.
A similar investigation by US law enforcement and disciplinary committees into professional misconduct by several Seattle lawyers has already begun. Those lawyers presently face charges for their part in the railroading, subornation, and perjury associated with unlawful jailing without due process of law. The Met also have started an investigation into Internet vandalism. The same people use electronic prior restraint since the supreme court banned traditional prior restraint.
As General Secretary, NUJ paid Dear a salary and benefits of £73,990.00 for the fiscal year ended 30 September 08, funded from member dues. During the same period, his dereliction cost the member £500,000.00 actual damage, reduced web assets by several million pounds, and caused inestimable collateral losses through blocked newsletter circulation and vandalized mailing applications. Damages continue to accrue at £2,000.00/per diem pending resolution of outstanding issues or legal action.
Dear could better spend his time dealing with real NUJ problems instead of repeatedly attacking its members for his own sick pleasure. NUJ provides a high salary to give service to members not to satisfy his own self-aggrandizement and arrogance.
Lawyer-satirist Decimus Junius Juvenalis (Juvenal) denounced the corruption and extravagance of the privileged classes in ancient Rome. He wrote in Satires: bread and circuses keep the Roman citizenry pacified - a typical NUJ ruse to control members. However, in so doing, Dear and his government mentors overlooked another Juvenalian maxim - difficile est saturam non scribere - it's hard not to write satire. [Nmesis] NUJ/LFB Member Paul Trummel has written hundreds of articles on corporate, union, senior and academic abuse, and institutionalized racism. He founded Contra Cabal (one of the first electronic magazines to appear on the web) for which he develops the site, writes articles, designs pages, and produces graphics. Published in print since 1944 and on the web since 1992, without a single challenge to the authenticity of his reporting, he has spent sixty years as a trade union member and elected delegate, twenty years as a new media industry CEO and systems designer/consultant, and thirty years as a post-graduate professor teaching computer industry executives and students of journalism, law, and graphic design working on masters or doctoral degrees. He has attended or chaired hundreds of faculty and trade union committee meetings including national conventions. The web sites contain articles and descriptions of unlawful prior restraints and abrogation of journalism rights also details of imprisonment and ongoing Internet harassment using denial-of-service attacks. They reveal how people in authority use retaliatory measures and propaganda to destroy the reputations of people who report illegal activity and racism. Details of academic credentials and professional qualifications counter record falsification, withholding, and destruction, also forgery by registrars at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and University of Washington. Some articles challenge libel/slander maliciously circulated as part of an international campaign of character assassination, personal vilification, subornation, and perjury to effect prior restraint. Jeremy Dear, NUJ General Secretary recently joined in that defamation. He muckraked to find and extract libelous statements and used them out of context. That suited his purpose to defame the author and to cover-up his eight-year neglect to support him on issues that affect all journalists. NUJ media blackouts cover up his dereliction. Roy Martin Mincoff (NUJ in-house solicitor) negotiated a £262,000.00 quid pro quo between NUJ and the author's member of parliament, Gareth R Thomas MP (Harrow West), Minister of State, Department for International Development in a distinct conflict of interest. Both Mincoff and his predecessor Claire S Kirby (Thompsons Solicitors, Cardiff) are under investigation by Solicitors Regulation Authority for professional misconduct. Criminal complaints are pending against NUJ officials and NEC officers for fraud and neglect to provide member services.
