The author and publisher has restricted content of this series of articles to National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) members (also named parties, police officers and solicitors who colluded with them) pending investigation of alleged criminal activity and legal action under: Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992; Fraud Act 2006; Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006; Equality Act 2010; Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The author reported police officers for dereliction of their duty in accordance with the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) guide for handling complaints pursuant to Section 22 Police Reform Act 2002. Complaints against solicitors for professional misconduct referenced: Solicitors Code of Conduct 2007; Solicitors Act 1974; Administration of Justice Act 1985 and Courts and Legal Services Act 1990. Law enforcement investigations involve an alleged pattern or practice of joint and several illegal or criminal activities by: National Union of Journalists (NUJ) executives, lawyers, and staff; National Executive Council (NEC) officers; and London Freelance Branch (LFB) officers. Other branches and chapels do not form part of intended civil and criminal complaints; therefore, the author has no opinion on their activities. Adverse comments, all verified and validated to insure accurate reporting, meet legal requirements. This proviso in no way restricts NUJ and IFJ members from releasing excerpts (with accreditation) to interested third parties including news media.
All individuals featured in Contra Cabal received prior notice in accordance with international codes of ethics agreed among journalists. They had an opportunity to mitigate damage and to refute statements that could negatively affect their reputations or cause investigation or prosecution of them for alleged illegal acts. Several of those codes have international legal precedent. The notices gave them an opportunity to challenge with substantiated evidence any charges affecting their ethical or moral character. For public accountability, the author encouraged them to respond in open exchange before a deadline. Individuals mentioned incidentally received a copy of the notice as a courtesy. Journalists must report the truth no matter whom they offend and with disregard for the consequences of publication. Accurate reporting predicates a higher purpose and the common good. The author did not solicit personal opinions and informed individuals that they should address only matters of fact. The notices declared personal or conflicting interests that related to topics or to opinion especially when the content drew upon advocacy, experience, conclusion, or interpretation. They advised of a responsibility to gather information and develop public awareness about wrongdoing and violation of codes of conduct. Primarily, the articles expose malfeasance and misuse of public funds also abuse of members by trade union officials and officers and law enforcement agencies. Named individuals neglected to adhere to their duty of care. Some maliciously damaged others and their reputations by libel, slander, assault, or other unlawful acts. No person received immunity from investigation. Anything published results from investigation, verification and validation which took into account violations of law or breach of established rules and ethical practices.

Media coverage of elderly people frequently patronizes or at least offends sensibilities; however, aggrieved individuals must make a determination. They must decide whether the culprit has maliciously used ad hominem to damage the reputation of a particular person or has merely used satire to make a valid point. Satire (irony) classifies as protected speech. It involves invective based upon reason to explore a proposition and state an opinion.
Malicious ad hominem, invective without reason, violates laws. When intentionally used to derogate seniors it classifies as age discrimination: treating seniors less favorably based upon their age or apparent age. Generally, ad hominem consists of invective without logic used to vent spleen and to create a violent reaction. It appeals to biased consideration instead of facts required in reasoned argument. NUJ oligarchs who define satire as “madness” or “derangement” show that they do not know the difference between satire (iconoclasm) and ad hominem.
NUJ officials adulterate language in order to manipulate issues. They use ad hominem to vent their spleen and political correctness to insure political paternalism. That gives them absolute control by variously stipulating definitions and meaning of language to abrogate laws that should support diversity. [Political Correctness]
Jonathan Swift claimed that people see a reflection of everybody's face but their own in satirical portrayal - that writing offends only those who recognize themselves; however, writing satire in a politically correct society often makes the writer vulnerable to abuse. Some journalists fail to use satire from fear of retribution for publishing heterodox opinions. Political silence then allows absolute control by those who have power.
Freedom of expression laws protect journalists against prior restraint and prohibitions on genre or content. It should also prevent union officials from gagging union officers. They must not try to cover up alleged crimes by unlawfully silencing members.
Reginald [Tim] Gopsill and James Doherty, both NUJ officials, placed gag orders on NUJ National Executive and Ethics Council officers after receiving a prepublication notice giving them an opportunity to answer outstanding questions or refute statements. That notice applied to an illegal NUJ prior restraint and media blackout which involved agism. Instead of attempting to mitigate, the notice resulted in more ad hominem to evade addressing the issues. [Conspiracy of Silence]
Laws determine that union officials, whose life and behavior results in public focus or interest, must remain accountable. NUJ urges journalists to strive to ensure that published information classifies as fair and accurate to avoid misrepresentation of comment and conjecture as established fact; however, they do not publish what they preach. Dear and Mincoff, both NUJ officials, follow an antagonistic course by illegally publishing false and misleading information for political expedience.
Lawyer-satirist Juvenal denounced the corruption and extravagance of the privileged classes in Rome. He wrote in Satires: “Bread and circuses keep the Roman citizenry pacified” - a typical NUJ ruse to control members. However, Dear has overlooked another Juvenal observation: “difficile est saturam non scribere” - it's hard not to write satire.
Jeremy Dear, General Secretary, National Union of Journalists (NUJ) has written nothing to justify or deny his discrimination; instead he has maintained a total media blackout for seven years and has repeatedly refused due process of law. He has pathologically lied about issues and has failed to understand that journalism has very little to do with charismatic leadership.
He does not understand that dysfunctional officials leave inquiring minds confused, resentful, or blank. They destroy ethical and political significance. Empathic association has no virtue and no value for rational people trying to uplift union ethics through reasoned argument. If they accept indoctrination then they give up their power. They irrationally empower their "star" to rule.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely, both personally and symbolically especially when an individual suffers from an antisocial personality disorder. It relies upon a false credibility conceived in pathological lying - persistent lying that continues until lies become the liar's reality. The audience subserves its commissar which disguises his need to destroy others to benefit fawning cretins.
Dysfunctional leaders turn lying into a universal principle, a Kafkaesque fantasy, to attain economic and political self-interest. Dear has feigned management skills. As a pathological liar, he now believes every word that he utters and does not show the inner conflict that he has with truth.
Cynically, Dear manipulates both members and staff - the former by false sincerity and the latter by fear and abuse. He blames his victims for his own abuse through transference, the process whereby emotions are passed on or displaced from one person to another. Members can probably look after themselves; however, to evade executive responsibility by coercing lower echelon staff to act as proxies to spread lies, or withholding evidence to pervert justice, ranks beneath contempt.
Pathological lying frequently consists of wild accusations without substantiation so that the accused person does not know to what the liar refers. For example, Dear recently claimed: “I do not believe your email is in accordance with the facts, is erroneous on points of law and the complaint is frivolous, vexatious and entirely unreasonable”.
Rhetorical analysis of that sentence showed that a lawyer probably wrote it and made it available to use as part of a derogation campaign designed to obstruct and disseminate false and misleading information without accountability. Apart from a vague allusion to an outstanding issue it contained no substance whatsoever.
Psychopathic (or sociopathic) dysfunction (predominantly a male attribute) makes the liar believe that rules and morals apply only to weaker people who obey them for fear of punishment. The sociopath feels indifference and contempt for them and believes that they “have it coming”. [Ravening Sociopath]
For the gullible in his life, Dear has an ingratiating manner and superficial charm and appears persuasive, poised, and self-assured: attributes acquired through a lack of conscious feelings that moral people possess. With a complete indifference for the truth, he lies, feigns forgetfulness, and uses time-warp strategies to distort the past and to confuse and manipulate the present. Frequently, he lies simply for the fun of it to a point where he exposes himself.
Sincerity implies honesty and an absence of moral conflict. It can also harbor insensitivity or stupidity. Dear has now reached the limits of his imagination and can only revert to playing himself. When a lead performer changes from lies to truth in mid-performance it utterly destroys the illusion.
For the illusion to continue then the lying must also continue. No longer relaxed, a requirement for union leadership, Dear has destroyed the receptivity of his audience and personal paranoia has replaced it. Truth has taken away his power. He has realized too late that absolutists cannot survive without lying.
A real irony exists in a trade union where members, through their own apathy, allow a semi-literate commissar to run for reelection unopposed. Especially when they allow him to appoint sycophants to impose his totalitarian and politically correct principles and impose a reign of terror that deprives elderly members of their humanity and human rights.
[Nmesis] NUJ/LFB Member Paul Trummel has written hundreds of articles on corporate, union, senior and academic abuse, and institutionalized racism. He founded Contra Cabal (one of the first electronic magazines to appear on the web) for which he develops the site, writes articles, designs pages, and produces graphics. Published in print since 1944 and on the web since 1992, without a single challenge to the authenticity of his reporting, he has spent sixty years as a trade union member and elected delegate, twenty years as a new media industry CEO and systems designer/consultant, and thirty years as a post-graduate professor teaching computer industry executives and students of journalism, law, and graphic design working on masters or doctoral degrees. He has attended or chaired hundreds of faculty and trade union committee meetings including national conventions. Articles cover criminal activity by bureaucrats, union officials, and abusers of elderly people. They describe the actions of corrupt judges and gross misconduct by lawyers who file frivolous law suits against tenants in government financially-assisted housing. They reveal how people in authority use retaliatory measures and propaganda to destroy the reputations of people who report illegal activity and racism. Details of academic credentials and professional qualifications counter record falsification, withholding, and destruction, also forgery by registrars at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and University of Washington. Some articles challenge libel/slander maliciously circulated as part of an international campaign of character assassination, personal vilification, subornation, and perjury to effect prior restraint. Jeremy Dear, NUJ General Secretary recently joined in that defamation. He muckraked to find and extract libelous statements and used them out of context. That suited his purpose to defame the author and to cover-up his eight-year neglect to support him on issues that affect all journalists. NUJ media blackouts cover up his dereliction. Roy Martin Mincoff (NUJ in-house solicitor) negotiated a £262,000.00 quid pro quo between NUJ and the author's member of parliament, Gareth R Thomas MP (Harrow West), Minister of State, Department for International Development in a distinct conflict of interest. Both Mincoff and his predecessor Claire S Kirby (Thompsons Solicitors, Cardiff) are under investigation by Regulation Authority for professional misconduct. Criminal complaints are pending against NUJ officials and NEC officers for fraud and neglect to provide member services.
